Three Actions to Avoid During Your Interview

Never ask the question: What are you looking for in a resident?

Avoid the use monosyllabic closed-ended answers like Yes or No.  Good answers like good questions should serve as a springboard for further conversation

Never give a text-book definition of a specialty as your reason for going into the specialty.  The program director already knows the definition.
